So everything we have goes into a single sock, made for nurses on twelve-hour shifts, tradies and farmers in boots from first light, teachers and hospitality crews who never sit down, travellers on long-haul flights, and hikers chasing one more ridge.

What goes into it
- Mostly baby alpaca, with merino for spring and a little nylon and spandex so it holds its shape.
- Graduated compression, firmest at the ankle and easing off towards the knee.
- A thick cushioned sole of dense terry loops for hard floors and long days in boots.
- A seamless toe, so there's no ridge to rub.
- Three colours that go with everything: black, grey and natural white.
Why alpaca
Alpacas live high in the Andes, where nights drop well below freezing and days can be bright and hot. Their fibre evolved for exactly that: each strand has a hollow core that traps warm air, which makes it light for the warmth it gives. It wicks sweat away from your skin, and it's naturally free of lanolin, the oil in sheep's wool that many people find itchy.
